WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

  • THANK YOU, LEE!! ~ I am having outstanding results and no side effects! When I tried using semaglutide last year, it just did not work well for me. However, this time, the supplements you STRONGLY suggested are working too and I AM LOSING 3-4lbs every week. SUPER HAPPY

    — ISMD Patient~ female 52 yrs old -May 2023

  • I am so so happy. I have had borderline high elevated A1C for years and a family history of diabetes. I am always concerned about my health and preventing these possible medical conditions including heart and digetive issues. I have lost 30lbs in the past 3 months and feel absolutey incredible! I was afraid of using semaglutide, but so glad I got past that fear.

    — ISMD Patient~ male 65 yrs old -June 2023

  • Thank you for helping me understand that the brain receives signals from different parts of the body (such as appetite hormones) which help regulate our food intake. The semaglutide injections seem to help me reduce my appetite, which has helped me to STOP doing a daily drive thru to my favorite fastfood places! THANK YOU! I am eating less junk, and starting to crave more health foods and have lost weight but more importantly have less pain!

    — ISMD Patient~ Male 34 yrs old -June 2023

  • Easiest tool I have ever used to get my weight off. My knees, back and my stomach all feel so much better and now I better understand, I HOPE, how to keep this weight off and maintain a healthier lifestyle overall. I look forward to my weekly treat meals and ability to do so without feeling gross and bloated the next day. Thank you InShapeMD and semaglutide.

Semaglutide: The First New FDA-Approved Weight Loss Medication Since 2014 & NOW Tirzepatide!

  • Semaglutide is the first once-weekly medication in its class that’s FDA-approved to help with chronic weight management. It works best when used in combination with a healthy diet and exercise.

  • The largest clinical trial showed that adults taking semaglutide lost an average of almost 15% of their initial body weight — about 12% more than those who didn’t take the medication. Adolescent clinical trials showed an average weight loss of 16%.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Semaglutide is an injectable glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonist that’s administered once weekly. It was originally approved in 2017 — at a lower dose under the brand name Ozempic — to help control blood sugar in Type 2 diabetes. People taking Ozempic for blood sugar control also tend to lose weight as an additional benefit.

  • Yes, all medications are made in a USA, FDA compliant compounding pharmacy using only the highest quality ingredients.

  • Some patients experience GI issues for a few days after the injection dose. However, we recommend very specific supplements to assist with digestion overall, and blood sugar regulation so our patients end up with little to NO negative side effects.

  • Semiglutide is given by subcutaneous injection (just under the skin). Patients report they cannot feel the injection due to the very tiny needle.

Most patients will self-administer once a week at home. Patients are welcome to come into the clinic for their injections.

  • GLP-1 is an incretin hormone that plays a role in your appetite and digestion. Incretins — hormones released by your digestive tract — are sent out by your body after you’ve eaten a meal. They help lower your blood sugar by triggering insulin release and blocking sugar production. They also slow down how quickly food leaves your stomach (called gastric emptying). The result of these actions causes you to feel full — lowering your appetite and causing you to lose weight. Medications like GLP-1 agonists are referred to as incretin mimetics since they “mimic” these effects. GLP-1 agonists, like semaglutide, were originally used to treat Type 2 diabetes. This was due to their blood sugar-lowering effects. However, the weight loss side effect has been shown to benefit people without Type 2 diabetes as well.

  • Lab testing is part of the initial screening by our medical provider to ensure you are medically eligible for any of our weight loss treatment protocols. We test for various biomarkers depending on the patient’s medical history, weight loss goals, chosen protocol and such labs may include blood work, stool testing, saliva and/or urine testing.

  • The initial consultation is complimentary. We do not accept insurance for services; however, we will provide you with a ‘super bill’ upon request that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
